My God!!! My visit was beyond my expectations. The environment was so peaceful and they were playing Christian music. I listen to K-LOVE radio in my car and at home. It keeps me happy and I feel closer to God. So when I was in the office I felt same happiness. I also must say everyone had so much hospitality. Hope my dentist was a brilliant breath of fresh air. She is very knowledgeable and explained everything that I was experiencing and told me what to do to feel comfortable. I must say that I am feeling much better. She also found me the best insurance plan for future dental work. I wish I had found Smyrna dental Group years ago but unfortunately I was living in Nashville. I can say that I am very impressed!!!

I fell and hit my face on a concrete patio. It caused my teeth to to push through my gums. I called Smyrna Dental. Group and they made me an Appointment which I.went to today. He examined mouth , he told me what he would do. He went to to wotk and I found a dentist!! Everyone was friendly and helpful and professional from the ladies up front throughout the entirep office. I have been with this group for over two years now, and thoroughly enjoy Dr. Gurley and the entire staff, an incredibly positive experience. My wife and I are now retired, and have selected a well recommended dental insurance provider. She had had her first cleaning appointment (with a different office) and had no payment due post appointment. I had my first cleaning appointment today and was surprised to have a payment due, finding out that this office is an out of network service. I am deeply concerned that I may have to move to a different office for this reason; having a fee necessary for a preventative visit can certainly be indicative of a larger fee for other services. Update: as always everyone here was amazing!! I was beyond petrified of the dentist when I first started going here, and now, the dentist office is not my favorite place to go, however, I dont dread going to the dentist now!! I had to have a root canal and I am EXTREMELY afraid of going to the dentist. The procedure sucked but the people that worked there and that did the root canal did not suck!! They made me feel as comfortable as possible given the situation. Would definitely recommend!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars, that's how amazing Smyrna Dental Group is. I hadn't been to the dentist in 14 years & my teeth are/were in terrible shape. I truly don't know which was worse for me - the pain or the overwhelming embarrassment I felt about showing a dentist my teeth. I was afraid of judgmental looks or lectures. But after repeated abscesses, I no longer had any choice and I called their office. From the moment I stepped in, the receptionist was so wonderful! I told her I was really anxious and really embarrassed, and she went out of her way call my nerves and to reassure me everything was fine. When I got into the dental chair, the two dentists came in and evaluated my teeth taking numerous pictures and x-rays in order for the insurance company to cover all that needed to be done. I just had my first root canal last week by Dr. Cornett with the sweetest dental assistant (I was so nervous I forgot to ask her name or thank her afterwards). Dr. Cornett did an outstanding job & put me completely at ease. I go back in another couple weeks for another root canal, but instead of being scared and nervous, I know I'm in the best possible hands with them. I would recommend them to everyone! They are simply the best! My only regret was that I didn't call them sooner!

She was very attentive . Keeping your mind busy while you're getting your stuff done. I was comfortable . She made sure I was not in pain. I felt very well and pleased , with all my results . Dr. Simmons is absolutely wonderful. I’ve been lucky to have her as my dentist for years! She is so personable and kind. She is very informative and seems to genuinely care! I’ve been coming to Smyrna Dental Group since I was a child- it must be over ten years now! I’ve also seen Dr. Gurley in the past for fillings when I was younger. I had a tooth /gum issue pop up between Christmas and New Year’s. I tried to call and Dr. Gurley’s office was closed for the week. I’m good with that. I’m happy he takes care of his employees. So I went to another place.( not gonna say who). They hit me with a $7200. Estimate on a couple things that wasn’t even the issue I went in for. I dealt with the pain/issue the best I could until Dr. Gurley’s office reopened and when I called Dr. Gurley’s office after the holidays. They got me in the next day. After X-rays and consultation. He said in his opinion he doesn’t see anything that would make him want to do the services that the other office quoted. I do have a filling needs replacing and another small filling to do. Roughly everything for less than $700. Dr. Gurley (father) always treated me and my family honestly and what was in our best interest. It looks to me that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Dr. Gurley (son) was amazing today and will always get 5 stars from me. They choose honor and the customers best interests over money. Thank you very much!!!!!!

I have been going here for years. And when I had kids they both started going her as well. I have never felt as if they try to gouge me or insurance and they have always explained everything in detail including the cost. My oldest daughter is almost 17 and now she goes on her own for her cleanings. When she wanted braces, they were very honest and explained that if they went ahead and put them on she would have to get them again in the future and it would be unnecessary so it was best to wait and not spend additional money. I have known of other pediatric dentists to go on and put braces on kids too early just for them to have to get them a second time. And they never try and push services on us. They explain what may be need asap and what could wait. They have always been so sweet and kind and I have never had that uneasy feeling that I used to get when going to a dentist like I did with the previous dental group I went to. We will continue to go here just because they have always taken care of us, they have always been kind and helpful and my kids do not mind going to the dentist here!!! So that’s a plus as well.

I was a patient here for over 20 years and for the most part... had no issues. In fact I would say I was pretty lucky to have a good dentist for all those years. A lot of credit has to go to the hygienist I had over those years. I think I only had 1 cavity filled in all that time and Dr. Gurley did an excellent job. Unfortunately, about 4 or 5 years ago, the hygienist I had for many years left. The next few visits I never felt I was getting a good cleaning... No consistency with the hygienist. Then I got a bill for a deep cleaning I wasn't expecting... So I thought I'd look for a new dentist... that hasn't worked out so well.
